Coffee Background
In Colombia, the majority of coffee is crafted with love by small, family-owned farms. Producers of Colombia Exelso take charge of their farms' management and post-harvest solutions while relying on key alliances to share their coffee with the global market and secure just compensation. To uphold the system of small-scale farming, Colombia created the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia (FNC). It guides and sustains a complex system of regional coffee cooperatives. Producers benefit from essential services provided by these cooperatives, such as central warehouses for storing dried parchment and dry mills to size the coffee for export. Excelso grade coffees are sourced from the finest Arabica beans, and boast a size over 14/64 of an inch.
